Challenge
Capsule was launching out of stealth with no public product yet. They needed a site that would earn trust from investors, future hires, and design-aware operators — without leaking the product roadmap. The team had eight weeks before a private launch event, an unfinished brand, and no in-house design system.
Approach
- Re-wrote the headline and subhead in plain English so the value proposition was readable in under five seconds.
- Built a typographic system from scratch — one serif, one mono, three sizes, on a strict 8px grid.
- Designed a single-scroll narrative with cinematic motion choreography that performs without dropping frames on mid-tier laptops.
- Shipped with a private RSVP flow gated behind email so the team could measure interest before opening the doors.
Result
The site launched on schedule and drove 92% of all warm intros at the private event. Time-on-page averaged 1m48s, and the founder used the site itself as the pitch deck in three of the first four investor meetings.
“We told investors to just look at the site. It did the talking. That's the highest compliment I can pay a launch page.”
