Challenge

A personal site for someone who works in social has a harder job than a company site: the audience already judges content for a living. A template would have undercut the pitch immediately. It had to hold four distinct kinds of content — a quarterly newsletter, four years of agency experience, credentials from two unrelated fields, and a running archive of platform takes — without turning into a résumé nobody scrolls.

Approach

  1. Led with a cut-out portrait over the newsletter covers so the person and the work land in the same frame, before any copy is read.
  2. Set an editorial type system — a high-contrast serif for headlines against Geist and Geist Mono for structure — so the site reads as a publication rather than a portfolio template.
  3. Gave The Social Moe-Ment newsletter its own section with issue covers and standfirsts, treating it as the recurring reason to return.
  4. Built the archive as a marquee of dated platform takes and milestones, so an ongoing body of work reads as momentum instead of a list.
  5. Structured experience, education, and credentials as separate scannable blocks, letting a pharmacy degree and an AI prompting certification sit alongside the comms track record without explanation.

Result

The site launched on Vercel with four newsletter issues live and became the single link used across LinkedIn and outreach — replacing a CV attachment and a link-in-bio.
